I have tried this tut… it works great.. however I am not just doing one drop of water.. I should have explained this in the first post..
Basically.. its several drops hitting a water surface.. it cant be just a rain plugin as i need to customize the location of where it is hitting.. its about 50 drops.. The thing with wave wolrd is its so processor intensive its impossible to do this many… i tried displacement mapping with a video file of a drop of water.. but than again i cant customize the location with this either..
any other thoughts would be much appreciated…

Yeah i could not photocopy directly on to the film.. Anyways the other experiment i am trying is using temporary tattoo paper.. printing on it and than transfering on to 16mm leader… this is for a experimental film course i am taking. Is there a setting i can use during export to get just a single verticle strip??? maybe a standalone program that can do it… or something..
this is what i am doing now… i am cut and pasting portions of the strip on to a clean letter size canvas.. printing them and cut them.. just that cut and past takes a long time.. if only they had one verticale strip i can cut a full pages size chunks…

i guess i should clear it a bit more.. although i have said a writeon its kind of different… my actor is drawing these lines on the wall and the camera dollies with her in some of the shots.. i cannot do a frame by frame drawing because the line has to exist on all frames as it gets drawn (unless i guess i do a onion skin or do a pain on all frames from each little stroke).. i was able to track the pen she was carrying.. the only thing i want to do now is for a line to be drawn from the start of the track data to the end so basically it will look like its been drawn… thanks

Hunz.. i will do that for my next project i just dont have time to redo work,., its really a lot of keyframming and its not just this video there are severl other videos that gets looped… so i cant change now.. but your solution is the best one so far.. thanks..
what i will do is.. take them to fcp and than change speed until its near perfect ofcourse this will change the speed of the overlaid clips but thats my last solution in such tight times.. thank you u all..

i just cant belive a soft like AE does not have a way to copy speed to objects and its adjust the key frames for you..
