So after countless hours I finally managed to render my project. But there seems to be another issue, one some parts of the video, quality seems to “lack” it no longer stays at 1080p, in fact majority of the parts don’t seem to be 1080p quality.
What has gone wrong? Perhaps I used the wrong render settings?
P.S. I will be using Adobe Encore for BluRay & DvD Authoring, what that be an issue?

Hello, I tried rendering using AVC but the final video file doesn’t seem to open with any media players.
Is this normal? -
After testing our numerous settings I found out the problem was coming from the “Render” project itself.
For some reason I can’t render using:- Blu-Ray 1920×1080-50i, 25 Mbps video streamWhereas if I was to render using:- MainConcept AVC/AAC no problems are encountered.
I managed to find the part where I initially thought the problem was coming from. So I tried different render setting, MainConcept and the problem no longer occurs.
Does that mean I cannot render using Blu-Ray settings?
( cry )
Update 1:- I read on another thread I can render using Blu-Ray using the template:- Sony AVC/MVC.
I will be using Blu-Ray 1920×1080-60i, 16 Mbps video stream.Update 2:- Using the above render setting:- Blu-Ray 1920×1080-60i, 16 Mbps video stream
Doesn’t cause any problems.
Can some please confirm if this would be the best setting to use for my Blu-ray project. -
Hello thanks for your responses, oh no! Please don’t say there might be a corrupt media file, it’s been months in the making and would be a disaster if there was something wrong with any of the parts. I will each section and report back.
Also, in regards to the quality would you agree my project settings have been set to the highest quality possible?
Thanks

I’ve set Track 1 “Difference”. On the preview screen there isn’t much showing, very light/fade video, nothing major though. Does that mean the re-rendered version lacks on quality?

Thanks everyone for your response. Looks like majority of the members have mentioned the software will only use what’s required by the software. It’s a shame as I was hoping to tweek the settings for faster rendering time.

Thanks John I will be testing it out with few of my media files.
[John Rofrano] “One other thing you can do is put the source footage on track 1, put the exact same frames of the rendered footage on track 2, then change the Compositing Mode of track 1 to Difference. What you see in the preview is the difference between the two clips. The preview should be totally black if there are no differences. This should prove your point on way or the other.”
Sorry but I’ve never done “Compositing Mode”. I’ve added source on track 1 and rendered version on track 2. How do I go about to do what you have mentioned?

I will test by adding color correct and hint of saturation and check if it makes any difference. Should I keep the default settings of the effects or would you guy’s recommend to trial and error? Any other effects to improve picture quality, I think adding a bit of brightness or something similar can help?

Hello Jason thanks for you’re response, sorry but I haven’t fully understood what you have mentioned.
My PC has 8 core should I adjust the settings to the following:-Installed CPUs:- 8
CPUs recerved for other applications:- 0
RAM allocation per background CPU:- 0.75GB
Actual CPUs that will be used:- 8 -
Hello everyone, thanks for your response. Looks like Sony Vegas will only use what ever memory is required, it’s a shame as over 1/3 of RAM will not be used.
Can someone please check if I have selected the best possible settings:-
GPU acceleration:- Enabled (NVIDIA GeForce GTX780)
Maximum number of rendering threads:- 16
Dynamic RAM preview:- 2000MB Max availble: 15298 MBShould I increase the number of GB’s for RAM preview?
