Hello George thanks very much for reply it’s greatly appreciated.

The points you have mentioned are very important and I agree 100% especially when it comes to battery, memory cards and lens. As these are the main components of the camera and at some point during the project will need to be replaced.

I suppose this will be a difficult task now… I had read these “blue” rigs are cheap and 90% of time does the job but only suitable for small projects. Another review says to stay away from these “blue” rigs as they are totally bad.

I’m stuck on the middle now… no where to go lols.

Let’s say I was looking for a setup that can contain external monitor, microphone and light that can be used as a shoulder or tripod mount. Perhaps we can take it from there.

Something like below would be a good start, allowing me to adjust the position of monitor. Attach a tripod also if needs be.

Hello Cody thanks for reply, sorry for not mentioning important info.

Can you please take a look at the image below:-

I was hoping for the exact same setup as above. Setup that can be used both on shoulder, tripod and hand.
But for the monitor if it can be adjusted towards the left or right it would be added bonus.
When it comes to price I would like to go for mid range nothing tooo expensive.

    Thanks

    P.S. I found the following rig:- https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/ibn/eimo-Shoulder-Follow-Platform-Support-Cameras-Camcorders/B00EZSC5WO/ref=sr_1_15?rps=1&ie=UTF8&qid=1482760669&sr=8-15&keywords=camera%2Brig&th=1

    What do you think mate?

Yes, the reason for shooting in 50fps was simply because when it comes to editing stage the video will run smoothly. So you’re saying end result or the project should be set @ 1080-25p ?

Hey thanks for reply. As I will be not burning my end result onto disc does it really matter if I choose PAL or NTSC just curious as in the past I’ve always burnt onto dis but on this particular project, no disc just media file.

By selecting 1080-25p does that mean footage captured in 50fps will be lost or something and there was no point in capturing in 50fps in the first place?

Hello John really sorry for late reply, just double checked and looks like my videos are 25fps & 50fps.
My delivery format will be PAL but it won’t be burned on BluRay Disc just rendered into one video file. I was hoping for 1080p

    Thanks

OK Dave I will try and render the 2 project files again.
What will happen if I was to render NTSC 29.97 in HD 1080p and play it on PAL TV? The end result will not be on DVD/BluRay Disc just stand alone media file. It should still work on PAL TV’s?

The reason why I asked is because I don;t want to lose any quality of my end result.

May 11, 2015 at 6:54 pm in reply to: Re-Rendering NTSC to PAL

Hello Dave thanks for you’re response, I will be rendering all my projects in 29.97 but will have to be done in NTSC
Only 2 small projects have been rendered using PAL 25 hopefully they won’t cause any issues later in the compiling stage. Also, when it comes to rendering I tend to opt for: MPEG2 BluRay changing few settings (Quality, VBR 2 Pass, Use Maximum Render Quality) and tick “Export Video” & “Export Audio”.

Are the above settings appropriate for my final end project?

    Thanks

Daniel, I think it would be good idea to start the project from scratch. In all my projects I’ve been using Adobe Media Encoder for transcoding/converting video files. I agree Adobe Encore can at times cause issues when it comes to Transcoding.

I’ve added one video file into AME and set “Format” MPEG2-DVD. My project is based on PAL, so what would be the best “Preset” to choose:-

Now let’s take about the video files. The project itself is abit complicated as it has varies videos each of which have varies duration’s.

When disc is inserted into player I have set “First Play” the video is 47 seconds. After which motion menu has been placed which directs the “Audience” onto the “Main Menu”.

Within the “Main Menu” there are 3 buttons.
    Button 1:- Motion Menu > Main Video 01 – 30 Minutes 42 Seconds
    Button 2:- Motion Menu > Main Video 02 – 1 Hour 12 Minutes 40 Seconds

    Button 3:- Motion Menu > Sub-Videos >

  • Button 3.1 – Video 01 – 3 Minutes 16 Seconds
  • Button 3.2 – Video 02 – 1 Minute 32 Seconds
  • Button 3.3 – Video 03 – 1 Minute 55 Seconds
  • Button 3.4 – Video 04 – 53 Seconds
  • Button 3.5 – Video 05 – 2 Minute 5 Seconds
  • Button 3.6 – Video 06 – 2 Minute 15 Seconds
  • I hope you have understood my layout Daniel, sorry if it’s really complicated.

Hey, the issue occurs straight after when all video files have been transcoded. As soon as it hits build stage error message is displayed.

EDIT:- I can state all videos within the project file mate along with duration if that would help in any way mate?
