Thank you guys, I finally got the program to at least show me the DV capture window. It does not give me the 2 options of “DV or HDV” but I was able to capture with the DV only window. Since I use a Canon 5D for HD recording I don’t actually need the HDV capture window. The way I got it to work was by going to preferences and clicking on “default all”.

The station just want it on a Beta SP tape, I’m actually taking the file to a friend who’s going to transfer it to Beta. I want to get the best quality for the tape and want to know what could possibly be the best settings for the session.

As a matter of fact, I’ll be using DVD architect to make the final DVD. I’ll wait for the first one to be done (it’s at 89%) then I’ll do the other 4 the way you’re suggesting. I will just have to figure out how to set up the video and audio separate in DVD architect, never done this before.

The Quantize to frames off did it. The syncing was just perfect. And after syncing I turned it back on. Thank you!!

I have found a couple of new GY-HD110 for about 4k. I’ll look into getting that one.

I think the white levels are below the limit, the flickering only happens when I render as AVI and not as QuickTime, both renderings are done within VEGAS Pro 9. Here is a small sample of an AVI showing the flickering specially on the white parts and mostly on Generated Text.
