  • The type of subtitle that does not come on the screen all the time, that you can call with your TV remote. But after calling a professional caption company they told me that Chinese characters can not be placed as that type of captions, only as subtitles, meaning, they have to be burnt on top of the video. At the end, I had to explain this to my client and ended up doing it myself as a title that appears all the time. The titler in Vegas does read and shows Chinese characters. I believe the closed caption editor of SV13 has only one font type that does not include Chinese characters.

    Which font do you suggest?

Thank you Stephen for the suggestion. I will try the Avid codec.

  • Hi Walter:

Thanks for the suggestion. Now that you mention it, I actually make my PNG images kind of big. I notice that some of the PNGs don’t behave badly, those are the small size ones. I will try to export them from my graphics program at 1920 x 1080 that way they’ll fit perfectly on my video session.

    Thanks again,

    Ever

Yes. I did a complete scan on both units and they work fine now, anywhere outdoors. Thanks.

Yes Richard, that’s exactly what I’m doing, connecting one female and male plates together on a 4 inch wall. I just wasn’t sure the type of cable I needed to use. I have a lot of spare microphone cables, some short ones that I don’t use. Could I use the mic cable for the connection?

Thank you guys for the advice. I’ll test both mics doing a scaning this weekend.
    Thank you again.

I’m in California, USA. I don’t know exactly what channel I’m running on, but the unit has a Frequency range-B: 626 – 668 Mhz.

I have not done a scan. I was checking on both units and see that you can run a scan only on the receiver (Scan new list) but not on the transmiter. But I will try running a scan and see what happens. I will also look into getting the RF explorer.

    Thanks Brian.

I’m also planning on getting a used Sony UVW-1800 for infomercials I need to deliver to TV stations. I just checked the Intensity Pro card and noticed under System Requirements that does not show Windows 7. Does that mean it will only work with the windows systems they listed? Which are Windows XP Pro SP2, XP Pro x64, Server 2003 Enterprise SP1, Server 2003 Enterprise x64
