  • Aquiring New HD Camera with a $4,000 budget – sugestions?

I’m about to purchase an HD camera, I’ve being shooting with a JVC GY-DV500, which gives me really good broadcast quality for TV commercials. But I wanna move to HD and have a budget of about $4,000 to invest.
I was thinking going with JVC HD. Anyone has sugestion on what to purchase?

    Any help will be appreciated.

Well, you could get the GY-HM100. If you can pony up a few grand more, you’re looking at the JVC GY-HM700, although with batteries, charger, case and tripod adaptor plate, you’re looking at another $1,000 on top of that.

A used GY-HD110 or GY-HD250 would fit your budget nicely. After two years, I’m still getting great footage from my HD110U and have had absolutely no problems.

I have found a couple of new GY-HD110 for about 4k. I’ll look into getting that one.

    Thanks for the suggestions.
