If i’m doing it correctly, that doesn’t seem to work. I don’t even see the stroke on the object.

Makes sense. Is this essentially the best way to do this kind of animation in After Effects or is there a more practical, efficient way?

I think my big issue is the zoom effect. When the object shrinks down and is then zoomed in on, it should be quick and give the impression of motion.

I ended up using a Camera and Null layer, increasing the position to give the zoom effect, which works well EXCEPT it doesn’t actually look like a quick camera zoom, instead it looks more like I’m just scaling up the image.

I have motion blur checked on the layer, but it doesn’t seem drastic enough. Any ideas?
