1. I meant to change the names of the proxies not the raw footage, even then is a no-no?
I read an article from:
https://www.abelcine.com/articles/blog-and-knowledge/tutorials-and-guides/recording-4k-xavc-and-hd-simultaneously-on-the-sony-f55

where it says “you could change the names without much consequences” so you can batch-relink to the 4k raw sources.
but I guess there’s no sure guarantee it will be okay.

When you say bring in Mp3s into Audition and convert –

I already have everything cut in a Premiere timeline – do you mean I could convert the mp3 files to wav
and then re-stitch the audio pieces one by one? because that would be an absolute nightmare?

or do you mean, I could convert mp3 to wav (preserving the same file names) and then make the mp3 files on the Premiere timeline
go offline, and relink to the converted Wav formate? I’m wondering if this is theoretically possible?

Did anyone have a better result or fix the issue after upgrading to El Capitan?

I just saw this post, and I’m having the same kernel panic every now and then.
Not too bad to the point I can’t work, but I would get once or twice a week.

Anyone else found trouble shooting options ?

I tried to copy and paste the attributes and check the motion, but it didn’t work.

Have you done this before? and worked?

One other question!

There’s a chance I may have to transcode to pro res proxy, because of the storage issue.

My concern is:

We shot on two cameras, A cam – FS7, B cam – AS72
A Cam’s clips had unique file names by dates and everything.
But with B Cam, it didn’t have a function to customize the file naming scheme, that each shoot it generated
same clip names, for instance from c0001 – c0002, and it would repeat the next shoot, each shoot.

So I’m afraid this would cause issues with relinking at the end?
Does anyone have a solution to this?
I’m trying to transcode using Davinchi, and maybe assigning clips from each shoot unique reel names, I hope that could help,
but just wanted to confirm if there’s a definitive solution so I can prevent major problems down the road.

So I guess even though the XAVCI is supported by CC, it’s still too slow to cut natively for a large project right?

and if I transcode to Pro Res HQ, it retains the level of quality of the raw sources? so I wouldn’t have to relink/reconform back to them?
