Mocha Pro has everything I need? The version that comes with After Effects would not work?

    Thanks Marc.

Turning on Assist using reel names from the embedding in source clip file connected all the Alexa footage properly. The MVI 5D files don’t come in correctly but there are not as many of those.

So it looks like it’s the multiangle/clip problem. But when I media manage the sequence and I create a new XML Resolve is telling me the clip is missing or the timecode extents are wrong.

    Any ideas?

Thanks Brandon. I expected the transform information to go into the resize section of the color tab. Thanks.

What do you do when Resolve can’t read media managed files from Final Cut Pro without the “.mov” extension? I have a script that adds “.mov” to these files. Any pointers?

I know the film will be screened as a DCP if it gets theatrical distribution. Film is few and far between for my clients these days. My client is on a budget and trying to keep his options open. I also do not have a RED Rocket card so I need to debayer to DPX before the color grading can begin. He’s also on a tight budget so I’m trying to figure out the most efficient workflow. I also only have a Rec709 monitor.

    Thanks!

If my client gets a film out that is a substantial loss in quality no? It’s almost half the vertical resolution and about a million pixels less then the anamorphic film resolution. If I work in 1828×1536 then I’m working in a lower horizontal resolution. I thought working in 2048×1716 would be a good mezzanine resolution.

I’m merely trying to work at a 2k resolution that retains the anamorphic aspect ratio. Working at 2048×1716 would allow me to resize the image to the DCP resolution and the 2k film out resolution.

What is the typical workflow for Anamorphic 2K projects?

Great thanks. I’m used to using a Kona card where the video conversions are only available in the higher end cards.

So any Decklink card can be used? Is it the Graphics Card that does the downconversion to HD then?

    Thanks
