i had media pending after rendering in the timeline. What worked for me was re-saving the project from the creative cloud files folder to a folder on my local harddrive. Just anywhere outside of the creative cloud files folder.
different situation than yours but thought to mention.

i’m using the sennheiser ew 100 g3 series. i have the transmitter set to -12db, the receiver to -12db, and the H4N to 77 input level. It sounds pretty good to me. The levels on the H4N are ranging from -30db during silence and -12db to -3db when i speak. I’m no expert so i don’t know if -3db is enough headroom for post. Plus these settings are me just in my room testing. Numbers might be different in different surroundings i would assume. personally i’m going to use this as my base point, and if i need higher/lower input, i’ll adjust the input level on the H4N. Is this wrong?

I know this is an old post. I’m using continuum 9 with cs6 AE and PPro. The transitions work fine when the sources are the same size/resolution as the sequence settings and no filters/fx on the sources. However, when i add any filter/fx on the incoming source, there’s a frame at/near the end of the transition that doesn’t show the filter/fx on the incoming clip. Then the fx suddenly appears afterwards.
Any suggestions to resolve this?

I have a another question. If I have a filter on the incoming clip, after the transition is over or near over, the first frame of the incoming clip is without the filter effect, then the effect suddenly shows thereafter. Is there any setting to adjust for this?

For me, it was the use of warp stabilizer on a clip, even though it was disabled in the effects menu. I just deleted the clip from the timeline and brought in the same raw/fresh clip from the project window into the timeline again. That worked for me. I guess i could have deleted the warp stabilizer from the clip, but i just deleted the whole thing and brought the clip in again. I’ll just reapply the warp stabilizer after i edited the clip.

I have a question about the noise cancellation. From one experience I had, because I was hearing too much ambient noise from my headphones, I couldn’t hear a “thumping noise” that the mic was picking up, apparently from the mic wire moving around. So I was thinking, if I had headphones that cancelled the ambient noise around me, I could hear better what the mic was picking up. Also, with noise cancellation, with the ambient sound removed via the headphones, wouldn’t you still hear the ambient sound that the mic is picking up? Does that make sense? I’d rather hear the ambient sound through the mic rather than from outside of the headphones. Do I have this noise cancellation concept wrong?

I’m also in the market of getting new headphones…looking at the ATH-ANC9 headphones. I’m confused about the noise cancellation aspect. Isn’t noise cancellation desired so that you can hear only what’s coming thru the microphone…including wind noise? In a previous experience, my mic picked up a “thumping noise”, I think from the mic wire bumping against something, even though I thought I had the wire wrapped around the boom pole pretty good. I believe that because I was hearing so much ambient noise, I couldn’t hear the “thumps” that the mic was recording. Hope I’m making sense, and that anyone can clarify what to look for in headphones for on-location audio monitoring.
