Hi Ian, quicktime gave me this info: DV/DVCPRO-NTSC 640×480, millions. I didn’t say anything about fields.

To render the AVI file I’m using Microsoft DV as codec.

    Thanks a lot.

Hello Ian, as source material I’m using Adobe Illustrator and jpg files. I’m exporting my movie as .avi and .wmv files.

Thanks Macohead! It worked fine. Just one more thing, the file I imported into AF is a vectorial file (Illustrator). When exporting it as flv and bringing it into Flash vectors turn into pixel images. Is there a way I could keep the clip as vecotrs in order to avoid pixelation.

    Thanks again!

Hi Yikesmikes, thanks for answering. I may be doing something wrong for I copyed and pasted the two expression into AE and didn’t work. What happens now is that my object is now placed near the left top of my composition (720×480) and barely moves a few pixels. It does try to make a kind of “bounccing movement”, but it doesn’t drop until it reaches the floor neither it behaves like an object that hits the floor and bounces. I’m new with all these expressions stuff, so I am possibly doing something wrong. Can you or anyone help me with that?

    Many thanks!

Hi Todd, thanks for answering. My question is about depth in Z. When in AE you turn a layer into a 3d layer you can move it forward or backwards in the z axis, so can you with a camera or a light. What I know is if you have many layers and placed them at different distances in the z axis then you get a 3d composition. This done you can animate a camera that moves through the layers in the z axis.

My question refers to wheter there is a limit for an objet to be placed in the z axis. Can I have a layer placed at 200 in the z axis and another at 8000? is there a limt for a layer to be placed, let’s say 10000? I ask this question for as I see it you could have a composition that extends limitless into the z axis.
