(I also submitted a Support ticket re this, but am now posting a bit of updated info)
After submitting the Support ticket saying that only the Boris Red DEFAULT FX and Transition appear in my Sony Vegas 10d 32-bit interface, I did the following (based on info found on posts here in the Forum)—
    1. Reran the Boris installation, making sure the “Keyframe Libraries” item was selected
    2. Removed the Sony Vegas 10.0 App Data folder.
    3. Restarted Sony Vegas.

Still no luck — Boris Red transitions include only “Default”, and Boris Red FX includes only “Default”.
    Sigh…

The Vegas forum has a posting about Boris5.02 — but the link goes to a Boris “Trial Download” page. Far’sI can tell, there’s no specific information on the Boris FX website about the 5.02 update.
I’m going to guess that I should update my Red5 by downloading the “Trial” version of 5.02 — if that’s correct, then if I want 5.02 to be available inside of Vegas10d, do I need to uninstall 5.0 before installing 5.02?

Ah, should’ve mentioned in my first post that I did, indeed, render the clip to a separate WAV file — but that file turned out to be “empty” (silence), even though in real-time preview I do hear the slowing-down effect.

Cool plugin – thanks for the link.

I can hear its effect in realtime, when I engage it while playing an audio clip on the Sony timeline. But I can’t figure out how to SAVE the slowed-down/sped-up audio. No clue in the readme file that comes with the plugin, unless I’m just missing something…

February 3, 2009 at 7:50 pm in reply to: How to extend visibility of Text?

Further info: I’ve now also experimented with the few text-based emitters included in PI’s regular emitter packages, and they work as I’d expect them to — extending the number of frames in the project extends the “visibility time”.

But I’m still curious about why I’m unable to control the visibility time when I experiment with the emitters that are used in the video tutorial. Adjusting the number of frames has no effect on the “word’s” visibility, with those emitters.
