I had the Kipon for a few weeks to try it out and decided to sell it on ebay. It doesn’t work very well with my Canon f4 lenses since it starts to vignette before lowering exposure. The Birger mount is going to be great! The only problem with it is that I’m going to want to buy more fast L glass!

Don’t blow your highlights. It will look ugly. The blown highlights will go yellow. I found if you use the built in waveform monitor you wont have issues with over exposure. It works really well. Make sure you shoot under 100. Best to shoot for 90 and skin tone at 70. This will give you room for post work.

I agree. The Fotodiox adapter is pretty good and compared to the others its CHEAP!However I did get the G version for aperture control on Nikon G lenses and its rough when turning so I don’t use it. The m4/3 to Nikon and EOS are good.

I like smartsound a lot. Completely customizable music. Length and instruments can be altered. A little bit of a learning curve to get the full advantage but one track can sound completely different so can be used in several projects. Check em out.

I will have a look at the software you suggested. However I don’t have a MXO2 so that will be a problem. I’m wondering how most people add the AFD flag to spots or shows.

But how does it look? Not sure about the intermediate codec for quality. If you make a reference video and use your cores in compressor I think the end result will be cleaner and still pretty fast.

I highly recommend making disk images of all the disks from the FCP suite. Makes reinstalling go SUPER fast. Just did this yesterday on a Macbook pro. Save the .dmg files on a external back up drive and when you need them I copy the folder over to the computer and open up all the images on the desktop and start the process. Never have to stick any disks into the computer and like I said SUPER FAST install.
