Well, if you have several layers of audio and video clips in the timeline, and one clip (for instance a music track) is much longer than the other clips, the “next/previous edit point” command forces you to jump to each edit point on every clip, instead of being able to jump to the beginning of the longer clip with just one command. So with the “next/previous edit point” command you have to hit the “Page up/Page down” key several times to get to where you want, instead of just one command.

When scaling up a vector image like .ai, make sure you have the “continuous rasterization / collapse transformations” button checked in the timeline.

I just bought the HVX200, and I’m considering buying a camera stabilizer for it. Which one did you use (Steadycam, Glidecam, Hollywood Lite, Magiqcam….), and do you have any general recommendations about a suitable stabilizer for this camera?Kind regards,

It’s solved; just needed to be in the en_US subfolder instead of the main plugin-folder.

That was it! I had just put the BCC stuff directly in the plugin-folder, and not in the en_US folder. Thank you so much for your help!!

According to the Boris website, yes they should be compatible with Premiere Pro 2.0:

Ok, I’m glad it’s possible to stream DVCPro HD footage from the camera to the Axio via firewire. I’m planning on buying the soon-to-be released 100Gb Firestore, which will hold 100 minutes of footage, and that is usually plenty for me since most of my projects are short (and eventually I’m sure the Axio will support mxf, although I have no idea how soon that might be). But one important question:
Is it possible to do this firewire streaming of DVCPro HD material into the Axio SD, or does it have to be the Axio HD?
I will only need to export my finished HD productions as files (wmv, QT, etc), so I don’t need the HD output capabilities of the Axio HD (I hope!!)

Hmmm, I was under the impression that you could transfer video via firewire in a streaming mode, not just file transfer..? I hope I’ve understood this correctly, but wouldn’t the streaming transfer just be video/audio without the mxf wrapper? Here’s a quote from Panasonic’s FAQ:

Yes, both streaming and file transfer.I’m getting a little nervous about this! Maybe I haven’t got a proper grasp on how this works? I certainly hope there is some way to get the footage into the Axio! I’ve ordered the Axio, but I haven’t ordered the camera yet. If I can’t get the footage cleanly into the Axio, I’ll have to consider another camera! (But which one!?) Although I’m convinced the Axio will have mxf support sooner or later, I can’t wait around for something with no announced release date. Anyone who can tell me if I’m right or wrong about how the streaming firewire transfer would work?

I find myself wondering about the same. I have an Axio SD on order, and am 90% sure I’ll buy the Panasonic HVX200. I’m thinking that the soon-to-be-released Firestore external drive will be the way to go, since it holds 100 Gb, or 100 minutes HD material. My thinking is that I’ll do a firewire transfer from the Firestore into the Axio. If I was to run out of space on the Firestore while in the field, I’m guessing I would have to unload it onto a laptop or another external drive, but I am not really sure if that is the best way to do it. I guess I could buy a second Firestore if it became a problem running out of space. But most of my productions are short (commercials), so I don’t think I’d need more than 1 Firestore initially. I too, am looking forward to P2 support on the Axio!
