Yes and even Reloaded the RMDs to see the results.

This only occurs with Avid.

THe last time I fixed this was to start a new project and use AMA again.

Basically starts a fresh batch.

It will not refresh as well as FCPX and Premiere.

Mind you those two have been finicky with same workflow and just as maddening but the audio at least comes in perfect every time.

Uggh funny how this worked out.

I havent had to work in Avid for weeks due other projects and now Im asked to check into something with future projects.

Sorry if this is thread jacking but maybe itll help some of us.

Did some basic changes in RCX (ISO, FLUT, etc..) as well as sycned TC audio.

For some reason Avid MC 8.3.1 wont see the updates Ive done even after saving the RMD.

I ran into this years ago with some color updates and I dont remember what I did to fix.

The audio thing puzzles me more.

I guess Id have to AAF out of RCX instead.

Not sure if it was mentioned but friends dont let friends shoot 1080 with a RED 🙂

I can tell you that with my Scarlet anything lower than 3K is noticeable in quality compared to 4K and up.

Maybe when you scale it down to 1080 it would be fine but Ive done enough 1K/2kWS/2KFULL shoots that the EPIC is always on the back of my mind (that shoots 4K and above with HFR).

So honestly shooting lower than 4K is not the best with the RED IMHO.

I have fun with Oxygen as far as XML goes.

Question, what about importing the XML from FCPX, creating a new Timeline in Resolve, then copy/paste from XML to Timeline.

Would this fix any oddities with the Resolve XML?

Im throwing darts here blindfolded since Ive been in XML hell with FCPX/Premiere/Xto7/Resolve the last few weeks for a full feature 😛

My above workflow works great for fixing my audio sync issues during rough cut delivery.

Im pre-planning and would like to know how others are doing this.

Well this is new to me.

I exported an XML from RCXPro.

Imported into Resolve and got nothing since I forgot to place R3Ds on a timeline.

So I added the complete R3D/WAV (day 1) folder into Media Pool the timeline.

Used the TC connect option prior to timeline.

Exported to FCP XML with ProRes proxies.

Just did a few clips of course.

Imported into Premiere.

The clips in the timeline are missing expect for the three ProRes proxies.

The oddity is that that specific Premiere file will not let me play a clip.

I mean spacebar/JKL/push play button period.

I take it that the Resolve sequence is basically a view only timeline.

After relinking all proxies play in source and after creating a new sequence then edit, all is good again.

I just wished all clips edited in FCPX (specially Audio Sync)can play nice via XML to other apps e.g. Premiere and Resolve.

The open in timeline is a great tool within FCPX, and use it all the time 🙂

Thanks for me RCXPro is very helpful with the TC sync option and the ability to create overlays as well as export with the specific crop (if requested) for dailies.

I know most of that can be done in Resolve (except for the overlays).

I was hoping an benefit in XML use as far as using any of the above at the ProRes stage.

Oliver has there been any updates to your workflow issues?

I feel for you with my current FCPX > XML > Xto7 > Premiere workflow that isnt working at all for me.

Question for you (and everyone that cares), what is the best option for ProRes Export.

RCXPro or Resolve?

I also tested it the RCXPro XML into Resolve and had some issues and kinda gave up on that.

I can save that for another post.
