The problem isn’t the authoring tool but the files you are giving it. How are you encoding?

Never used DVDA but a quick google search says to look in the properties. By default it should be set to ALL REGIONS.

That’s a great post but I think the OP should do everyone a favor and just request a 1920×1080 23.98 uncompressed file.
If they can deliver a DCP file they can surely do that as well

Encoders won’t accept that. Youll need to ask them to deliver on tape or an uncompressed file

Yes but an mp4 file is already highly compressed and you’ll be compressing again to mpeg2 since that is what required for DVD.
Use an uncompressed file instead

It’s rare you see issues with media unless you by the no name brands. Those are good along with Verbatim.
Kepping your overall bitrates below 7.7 or so is the best way to insure comparability

Because all European players play NTSC discs. Either that or down convert to 25i first then encode for PAL. There is no PAL 25p in DVD
…and you’re not transcoding, you’d be conforming….just changing those TC numbers to 23.98

DVD doesn’t support 25p…only 25i. Compressor is making it interlaced. I would be conforming this to 23.98p and making a 23.98 NTSC disc.

Have you tried another player and monitor to rule out issues with those?
