But why? He’s not going to be able to duplicate the functionality with HDMV and Logic anyway. Keep your Encore project as is. If you want studio Level results, then pay to have that done. There are too many pitfalls and can’t be done in the amount if time you’d like

Yeah….those are good tools but the functionality the OP is looking for us way beyond what the avg producer can accomplish.
Jobs like this are for professional Blu Ray facities and programmers
Even if he did get the DVD logic bundle, it’s still beyond site…..unless you want to put the hundreds of hours in learning the specification
Does DVD logic allow you to import JAR Files? Just curious?

Not really…..Encore doesn’t support them anyway. The Blu Rays you buy are produced by highly trained authors and programmers, taking days per title.
Encore is just for very basic titles
I doubt people care anyway….if your production is good, it’s good 🙂

Unfortunately no…. Studio titles like Avatar were authored on specialized software and is hand written in Java ( or customized templates in the case these days). Encore is a consumer tool with limited capabilities.

there’s no way to get HD onto a DVD if you want the end user to playback on set tops.
You can make a AVCHD disc which supports higher bitrates closer to 15mb/s but you won’t be getting 2 hrs

How far off is the the new location? Chapter points can only be on I Frames within the MPEG 2 GOP structure, so maybe that’s what you’re seeing?

You want to shoot and edit 23.98 then create an NTSC 23.98 DVD. All players play these disc.
If going to replication where your discs are stamped physically, then make sure you make an “open region” disc.

As long as its an NTSC disc, you’ll be fine.

You’ll be fine. In fact region code aren’t even honored on burned media…..only replicated discs.
EDIT: Your Studio version doesn’t do regions anyway….that only in the Pro version. All discs will always be region free

You can use a free tool called IFO Edit to look at the VOB Files to determine what frame rate they are.
