    Hey gang,

I’ve got a project coming up that will I will be shooting here in the US, editing and then authoring DVD’s for distribution in both the US and Australia primarily, as well as other parts of the world. What is going to be the best workflow for something like this? Never really done something like this before so I’m looking for some advice.

    Thanks for the help!

You want to shoot and edit 23.98 then create an NTSC 23.98 DVD. All players play these disc.

If going to replication where your discs are stamped physically, then make sure you make an “open region” disc.

    Hi Kelly,

I’ve seen it stated over and over on every forum that PAL DVD players all play NTSC DVDs. However, I’ve never seen it stated that the DVD must be 23.98…that said, it is understandable that a 24fps source might convert better to 25fps PAL than starting from 29.97, so Eric may be on to something there.
