HD DVD and Blu Ray are 2 different, incompatible formats.

Remember though, make sure your client knows this will only play on a HD DVD player. Also make sure your client is aware of some player’s issues with an HD DVD image on red laser media and that firmware updates will effect this compatibility.

Actually no…that portion of DVDit Pro is not prepared to output a proper CMF image for replication.

Bring your encode into a title in the Project window. What ever encode you bring into a project FIRST will automatically be designated as the “First Play”

LOL…the difference between HD DVD and all those formats you listed is all those are still in use today in one form or another.

The place I found in has a $1500 mastering fee but I managed to get those waived – but I was giving them some work. So your looking at $1.30/unit for 2500 units with a one time AACS license fee of $3000 for up to 100,000 units.
BD replicators are multi Million dollar systems…yours is a burner…I’m I correct?….so that would be duplicating.

Did you mean to say your duplicating not replicating..right? Also recheck the licensing fees. They’re now $3000 and a $.04 per disc charge for up to 100,000 units.
Also are these titles your selling to the public on burned media? I hate to think of the compatibility issues you might have. 🙂

But your uprezing from a DV timeline. Once its in your timeline as DV..thats it…it will always be DV quality even if you uprez. Or am I missing something in your workflow? You could try compression markers. How long is the project? If its under an hour I’d go with a CBR encode around 6.3 or so…don’t have a bitrate calc with me right now.
