  • How do you output to HD DVD using DVD studio pro?

    Hi all,

I’m currently working on a wedding project, the output needs to be in HD DVD (or blu-ray, I’m honestly not sure what the difference is) but till now I’ve only been outputting to SD DVD.

How can I burn a 1 and 1/2 hour HDV clip into a HD DVD? Do I need a HD/blu-ray burner? Can DVD Studio Pro burn in this format automatically if I set it to HD instead of SD, providing I already have the blu-ray burner?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks again,
    Dennis

HD DVD and Blu Ray are 2 different, incompatible formats.

Here’s a tutorial to get you going:

Remember though, make sure your client knows this will only play on a HD DVD player. Also make sure your client is aware of some player’s issues with an HD DVD image on red laser media and that firmware updates will effect this compatibility.
