You’ll need 6 separate AIFFs that will be used to drop into Compressor to make the AC3.

I’m shocked Omni would do this…thats interesting. I’ve never seen or heard of issues with 00:00:00:00 TC on DVDs.

No that shouldn’t be an issue. I’m surprised if that’s the way the tool works. Can you work around it?

Are you using DVDSP? Right click on the timeline and make sure you aren’t seeing “Zero based TC” but “Asset based TC”.

There’s absolutely nothing against the rules saying you can’t complain about a certain tool…if so, I would have been kicked off years ago 🙂 But your not complying anyway since I’m sure there’s a fix

I apologize Jacek. I thought you were talking about superimposing one video over another and calling it PIP. 🙂 I understand what your trying to accomplish now in regards to HDMV. I also wish I had a concrete answer for you and your FCP question – my apologies for taking this off topic.
BTW..is this THE Jacek…the one who doesn’t visit us anymore at a certain facility in Costa Mesa? You should call Josh…maybe He’ll know the answer – LOL 🙂

Your sending yourself on a wild goose chase here. PIP stream are authored separately from the main stream. In fact, I believe the specs are limited to SD resolutions for all PIP streams – at least this was the case for HD DVD and still holds true for BD.
Who is authoring the project? They should give your the correct delivery specs for this kind of stuff.
Again…keying video over another has NOTHING to do with PIP in Blu Ray 🙂

Also Luma keying and “below black” have nothing to do with HDMV PIP capabilities. What exactly are you trying to accomplish?
