Hello Bill,
Thanks for the info. It is not critical, but it is confusing. Probably buried somewhere
in Apple’s documentation.I will check for compressor plug in – I did find a standalone program called Bit-Vise, but it is quite
confusing – at the moment anyway!Eric

Hello Bill,
Thanks for the information. The triangle is not yellow, it is an outline of a triangle
in the lower right part of the track, in the image area. I am using compressed m2v for the video.
I used compressor for the conversion of an Apple Pro Res 422 QT file to mpeg2 for DVD.I just deleted the track, and re-added the video/audio, and what ever the small triangle
meant, is gone. Mysteries of DVD Studio Pro.Can you recommend some other tool for encodeing mpeg 2 video for SD DVDs other than
Apple Compressor?Thanks Again,

February 6, 2013 at 4:40 am in reply to: Sequence Settings in FCP 7 for Telecine Super8mm filmHello Nick,
I have a new/old question. I have some new footage, shot at 24fps. In camera. The telecined
file is Apple Pro Res, but at 29.97. I have audio recorded for this footage. Needless to say
the audio will not sync. I have run the 29.97 file through Compressor, and set it to 24fps.
But the audio, still does not quite match. It is close. Any ideas? Granted Super 8mm is not
the greatest, but I was hoping for closer results.thanks,
Eric

I tried this. i selected all clips in the sequence, and un-checked frame blending.
Problem is, that the check mark goes away, but when I look at a clip (or clips) the check
mark has returned! Any ideas on this? Thanks,
Eric

January 11, 2013 at 5:39 pm in reply to: Sequence Settings in FCP 7 for Telecine Super8mm filmhello Nick,
Thanks for reply. I had the film professionally telecined by a lab that does this.
The camera footage was shot at 18fps (its only speed). The lab provided an Apple
Pro Res file saying it was at 18fps. I do not plan to put it on a DVD at the moment, but
show it on the web. If I put it on a DVD, it will be NTSC.I check the file properties in FCP and it show a video rate of 29.97, etc with the standard 4:3
ratio, etc.Thanks,
Eric

Hello Marcus,
this question is not related to the camera and davinci – is your face-light plug-in for FCP (7)
still available?Just saw a nice tutorial on color grading, and the writer mention your plug-in
Thanks,
