After clicking on the upgrade button you will be prompted to log into your MAGIX.com account. Once logged in you will be provided upgrade pricing if you have a previous version serial number of the same tier level of the application on your account. The upgrade price will be reflected in the purchase details before entering payment information. Coupon codes can be used on orders which are not already receiving a discounted price. If two or more discounts apply, the best discount will be provided, but the discounts are not able to be coupled or added together for the same order.

  • We follow Agile development methodologies and therefore do not have a set schedule for releasing updates. Rather, we release an update when we feel that the work we’ve done is significant enough and benefits enough users to prompt one. We’ve already had three updates since the initial release which have fixed bugs as well as added new or improved functionality, and a fourth is due within days.

We use several methods to let users know that a new update is available including forum announcements, but you can always visit your user page at https://www.magix.com to check and see if you have the latest build. To download the update, log onto your MAGIX.com account. Then, click MyProduct and click the Installation program link. After the installation is complete, you will have the latest update.

We’re committed to VEGAS Pro and that means not only working on future functionality, but also improving the current version so that we can provide the most stable software possible.

September 19, 2016 at 1:55 pm in reply to: Reinstalling Magix Vegas Pro 13 on another Pc?

The current Sony EULA stipulates the license is for one user, it can be installed on 2 PCs for the same user, and cannot be used on 2 or more PCs at a time. https://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/corporate/eula

“Sony grants you a limited license to use the Software on two (2) computers or mobile devices, as applicable; provided that the Software may not be used on two (2) or more devices simultaneously”.

The old EULA for previous SCS apps allowed for 1 install and 1 back up

“Sony grants you a limited license to use the Software only on one (1) computer or mobile device, as applicable, and you may create one (1) back up copy of the Software”.

MAGIX allows for 2 installs on 2 systems.

The difference is Sony required license maintenance after 5 installs in any one calendar year, where the MAGIX applications allows 2 at any one given time and has a safeguard in place. Licenses can be maintained on the user’s MAGIX account. If 2 installs exist, and the user wants to install to a third PC they have to deactivate from one of the other PCs.

In short, the number of installs allowed has not changed. There is just a different safeguard in place.

The previous generation of MAGIX applications required online verification monthly, however, the current MAGIX apps do not require the user to be online after installation. The license is tied to your account and it is still verified. Online activation is required, however the machine does not need to be online after activation.

  • The content was part of the acquisition and MAGIX does now own it. We are still currently in a transitional state where MAGIX is implementing infrastructure for selling and activating those products. At some point in the (likely near) future, those will be available for sale.

In project properties, do you have full-resolution rendering quality set to good or best. If it is set to best, try setting it to good. This will resolve the issue if it is due to bicubic scaling w/integration talking place.
