Can you make a Time Machine backup and then run this update. See if Adobe will export with GPU acceleration on after?

That would help since so far I have only seen editors with the nMpro showing the issue.

Open CL is standardized. Either Nvidia or ATI can update the standards used with their drivers. It is not specific to either AMD or Nvidia. That means Nvidia’s driver can update the Open CL used by OSX the same as AMD’s.

Update with this and check the hardware acceleration on 10.9.3 . Someone is reporting this fixes the Open CL memory management used by Adobe and OSX.

Likely only the new Mac Pro’s since it seems tied to the Open CL and Open GL updates for the AMD cards.

May 20, 2014 at 10:39 pm in reply to: AE to Media Encoder. Animation not rendering correctlyRegardless of when Adobe states the FX processing is done, I have seen far to many encoding issues with high compression codecs when handling FX data. Always process heavy FX work out in lossless form first in order to maintain the original quality and FX build. Then encode to the delivery separately. It only takes more time if the encode direct to delivery actually works flawlessly the first time.

The media, workflow, and AE work decide whether the 8 core is better than the 10 or 12 Core. The 10 Core is what I would recommend for the ideal point versus price especially if AE work is greater than 25% of the workflow on that system. Definitely get the 10 or 12 Core if R3D is involved and greater than 2K resolution. The Open CL does work in Adobe Premiere CC if 10.9.3 hasn’t totally broken it at this point. The word so far is not positive at the moment so it will depend on who has to update to fix the issues that decides resolution time. If Mac is the only option or preferred due to OSX then definitely get the nMPro. Just understand PC/Win system has far better configuration/performance options especially with Adobe for the same tech investment. AE is definitely not ideal on Mac anymore with 1 CPU module but can still get the job done for most things. It will just take longer to render out. This is where a dedicated render system will start coming into play.

Auto would default to Open CL because those are AMD cards. However setting that to Open CL shouldn’t change anything if you wanted to. No the Cuda installer wont effect your performance or stability since no Cuda cards are installed in the system.

The update overwrote the Cuda List in Premiere. You just have to go back and edit that with the 770MX again or delete the file. Call and I can remote in to do that for you if your not sure.
