  • Well I got lucky, I shut the application down and opened it back up to do a restore default and low and behold the ‘s’ key is now performing as it should while the timeline is playing.

    Thanks again

I give up. I have 4 effects on the source right now and i can still make it the profile pretty well.

Gaussian Blur / Pixelate / Swirl / Chroma Blur

THE FACIAL FEATURES ARE STILL DISCERNIBLE!

I tried pixelate on it’s own but it draws eyes far too much to that particular area.

I don’t have the budget for a $200 plugin package

Not being a software engineer it still escapes me why I can’t blur the crap out this face.

Ok nice, did that and manually cropped out so the black lines are barely visible.

    Thanks

I am thinking that I didn’t capture the dv footage properly. I am sure I captured it at the standard 4:3 setting and hence the horizontal black bars. There probably is a way to capture it as widescreen dv, right?

    You’re a genius!

    Thank You.

  • Thanks John that resolved it! In 30 minutes I was going to FRYs to purchase another card. No I didn’t buy the card for GPU acceleration, my old car (radeon 4850) didn’t respond well to my new ram so I cannibalized this gf210 from an older pc that had a fried motherboard. oh the joys of computers..

Yes thank you that seems to work marvelously. Is it truely loss-less? I am not observing any quality loss.

You wouldn’t happen to know how to capture a still off a m2t frame?

    eric.

Thanks to both of you. Nice to have that resolved. My other issue with segments on the timeline is that I have spaces inbetween segment clusters. Usually I will edit around 6 minutes at a time then start on another 6 minutes full of segments with a space inbetween the already edited segments. how do i select a group of segments together and drag them to the opening scene?

Did that question make sense? It hardly does to me and I wrote it.

No, I use the selection tool to move forward to the peaks. I figured a tedious way of fixing the greyout, after I edit a selection and select another one, all options are greyed out, but if I switch tools from Time Selection to Scrub tool, hit anywhere on the timeline, then go back to the Time Selection tool, the options are no longer grey.

Pain in the rear but I don’t know what else to do.

    Hello,

That would seem to be a good solution but the CUT option is also greyed out. I am again able to make an edit once like CUT or MUTE but the next time I make a selection those edit options are all greyed out.
