    Hi Dwaine

    thank you for the great explanation. But there is something i am not sure about.

    my configuration is;
    -I have Davinci Resolve (full version)
    -I have Mac Pro 2×2.4 with 32 GBram
    -GT 120 (for GUI?)
    -Quadro 4000 (for GPU?)
    -I am using Red Scarlet 4K files.

    I put gt120 and 4000 to proper slots (as written in resolve configuration guide). There is no warning messages in resolve openings.
    But i am still not sure if resolve use 4000 as GPU. How can i see that? is there any sign/menu in resolve?

    any help?

    regards

    Sascha i noticed that you use DaVinci 7 which is not supporting CinemaDNG. Only 8 is supporting. So if you want to load the CinemaDNG files you need to upgrade to DaVinci 8 (which is free to upgrade)

    only editor which suppors DNG is adobe premier right now.. (im using fcp but it does not support)

    so workflow might be;

    edit in premiere
    xml or edl? -> da vinci
    grading in davinci
    xml or edl? -> premiere
    final output (from premiere or davinci)

    any comment?

    hi,

    im going to buy ikonoskop dii camera which uses Cinema DNG (raw) format. I have davinci resolve and as far as i know current resolve (7) does not support cinema DNG.
    Does anybody know will resolve 8 support cinema DNG format?

    hi Vladimir

    what does 8bit video output enabled? does it mean better MAC pros has 10 bit or better option?

    do you think that older 2CPU is faster than newer single CPU version?

    hi Ronald

    i am very suprised when i see your post saying you are running resolve on “2008 Macbook Pro 2.4 GHz Intel Core duo, with an NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT”

    i have almost the same mac book pro with “2.2 Ghz Intel core duo with NVIDIA geForce 8600 GT”

    do you think i can run resolve on my macbook pro?

    i do not have any control panel. can i use resolve without control panel? (i mean with mouse and keyboards)

    thanks
