Eric, what monitor profile are you working in?
Did you customize it or its the default one?
Which operating sistem?
I’m asking because I noticed it depends a lot on the monitor profile. Also wondering if Lion solved the issue, I’m still S.Leopard here.

Seems like you used a lot the Position tool instead of Select tool.
The Position tool basically turns off the magnetic timeline which would have prevented the incidents to happen.

Hi,
if you want to do that without loosing quality you must take a matrox mxo2 or mxo2 mini with MAX technogy. That provides fast hardware conversion to h.264.

What about the color shift issue between fcpx and compressor?
Is it solved in Lion or not?
(Compressor shows a darker image than fcpx in Snow Leopard)

If the same project works on another computer maybe the problem is THE computer.
I would try a permission repair and a complete disk ceck for first.
