Try to turn off the SW/HW when switching from the Media Composer. Even if we need to go to the Finder we have to do this. It’s the sheave icon next to the right of the audio levels on the Timeline window.
    Hope it helps.

Oh boy!! We are already in 2013!! Sorry to pickup this old thread. Hope you guys don’t bother at all!
This shortcut just works on a Composition. Is there a way to toggle the masks visibility on a layer view?
    TIA

    Hi there!

Sorry to pick up this old thread! I’m currently questioning the same but in other form! I’ve a FCP7 project, where I log and capture every day, where I make multiclips and one sequence-a-day and every day I clean up project, deleting everything. The project file size stills growing up… Any clues where I can delete something associated to the file? There’s no Show Package Contents… I know I can create a new one, but I love my project… 🙂

    TIA

    Hi!
We have 4 options to convert the Canon 7D movie clips to work properly on the Final Cut Timeline/Sequence.
    – MPEG StreamClip
    – QuickTime 7
    – Compressor
    – Canon’s plug-in EOS Movie Plugin-E1

You have the Sequence Settings for 1080p (1920×1080). Just choose HDTV 1080i (16:9) on the Frame Size and Square pixel on the Pixel Aspect Ratio. Another way is to Drag&Drop the clip to the timeline and hit the Yes button to the Sequence match the clip settings, it’s really easy.
