Thanks, David. I did the first thing — the changing of the crop settings in FCP — but that didn’t seem to help. I bet option two (editing the JPEG in PhotoShop) would’ve worked, but I’m a total PhotoShop newbie and didn’t quite have enough time to experiment with that solution. So I just redesigned the transition. But thank you! Now I have to go learn PhotoShop… — Rumi Girl

Thanks, Andreas. The new folder name DOES include hyphens (-). I’ve been able to put a lot of new media files in that new folder — it’s just two files in the old folder that won’t move over — so my media files are now in two different capture folders. I guess I’ll avoid those non-alphabetic characters you mentioned in the future!

Can you elaborate on “trash fcp prefs”? Which preferences? thanks! — Rumi Girl
