Vegas 8 is the last version I remember where you could drag and drop a veg file on the title bar to open the project.

I just downloaded and installed (win7 64x) and got the same results … Menu contents only, no buttons…. The Document was updated 2012-05-16 but apparently it did not solve the problems or it was not updated.
