    Hi Jim,

It might not be a “perfect” loop, but the key is to look through parts of the animation where the flag is the most “simple”. This means that look for times where there are less wrinkles/flaps, etc. Then, go through the animation and look for a similar position/animation. Then, render out on that sequence and you may get the loop effect that you are looking for.

    Hi Brent,

Sure, you create the gradient texture in either Illustrator or Photoshop, then import the texture map in ProAnimator’s Material Editor window.

    Hi Brent,

That’s correct. You won’t be able to have the gradient color be imported into ProAnimator using the “Use Illustrator Color” option. If you need to have the gradient colors on your object, you can create a texture map with the gradient, and then apply the gradient onto your ProAnimator object.

  • Hi Andy,

Sometimes, an Illustrator file can be deceptively large/complex, so it could slow down the rendering and processing speed. While there isn’t a limit to the number of objects, I am not sure if the complexity is causing your machine not to be able to compute the render. Illustrator files can be very complex if the Illustrator file was generated using the “Live Trace” feature in Illustrator. When using Live Trace, Illustrator tends to add a lot of extraneous points that are not needed. So if the leaf was traced using the “Live Trace” feature, it might be a file that contains hundreds of anchor points which will cause everything to greatly slow down.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Joe,

You should be able to see all sides of your ProAnimator 3D Text. If you are using the After Effects camera, be sure to enable the option to “Use Comp Camera”. After setting up this option, you should be able to orbit around the object and see the back side of the object.

If you are still running into any issues, let me know.

    Hi Lee,

Check the Solid that you’ve applied Reflector to. Make sure that the Solid is using the same 1.33 HDV settings as your Comp settings.

If you’re still having issues, you can try sending the file to me at ed@zaxwerks.com and I’ll take a look at your project setup and what you may be running into.

    December 11, 2009 at 5:18 pm in reply to: 3D Invig and ProAnim – CS3 to CS4

    Hi Bryant,

The upgrade process is pretty easy. Go to our download page, fill in your current information, and select ProAnimator AE & Standalone (v4.5.1). You will be e-mailed the download link to download the software. It is a free upgrade so you can continue using your current authorization code.

ProAnimator version 4.0.9 is not compatible with After Effects CS4, so be sure to get the updated version.

    Hi Bryant,

You’ll have no issues when you upgrade from CS3 to CS4 Production Suite. Make sure you are using the latest version of our software (version 4.5.1), and everything should work fine.

As for the Trapcode plug-ins, I don’t have the plug-ins so I can’t comment, sorry!

    Hi Bill,

We don’t have any new tutorials on 3D Warps at the moment. However, there have been a few tutorials posted in the past that are available on our blog page. There are interesting projects that have been created by John Dickinson, and Alan Shisko. To see all the tutorials and samples, please visit the link below:

    Hi Nelson,

You should be able to move the text in the Y-axis in any of the poses. Make sure you have the pose selected, and you can adjust the Pose Positioning.

If you are still having issues, try sending the project to me at ed@zaxwerks.com

I’ll take a look at your project setup for you, and help you out.
