Hi Colin,

We currently don’t have controls to turn a Set on or off. However, you can have several layers that each have Invigorator PRO applied to it. This means, you would put each object in its own Invigorator Layer. Then you can use the transparency controls to hide the Invigorator layer.

Sorry about that. I thought you meant when you are using the Comp Camera, but moving the ProAnimator objects around. I just checked moving the Comp Camera around, and it is not working properly right now. Thanks for pointing that out. I’ll report this issue to our development team and have the issue fixed.

Hi Ariel,

To use Motion Blur with the Comp Camera, you will have to go into the Output panel, and enable Motion Blur there. You will need to set the Motion Blur control to 4 passes or up. Then, in After Effects, select the ProAnimator layer, and enable Motion Blur for the layer. Then, turn on the Motion Blur control and you should be able to see the Motion Blur when the object moves.

Hi Mike,

Be sure to download ProAnimator version 5.0.9. It contains numerous bug fixes, so even though you may be hesitant about upgrading during a project, 5.0.8 and 5.0.9 are all about crash fixes, stability, and optimization. So if you are not using the latest version, you may be prone to many other crashes.

Hi Ray,

If you have the “UAC (User Account Controls)” feature set to Never Notify in Windows 7, then the program icon is created on the desktop. If not, you can go into the C:Program FilesZaxwerks ProAnimator folder, and send the icon to the desktop as a shortcut.

In regards to the program not working in Windows 7, you may be running into a OpenGL compatibility issue. To fix this, go to the manufacturer’s web site for your graphics card, and download the latest driver. Even though Windows 7 may say that you already have the latest driver, this may not be true. The best way is to download the driver directly from the manufacturer’s web site.

Once you update the driver, try running the program again. If you’re still having issues, please let me know.

Hi Martin,

Try adjusting the Shadow Map size by going into the Invigorator Preferences window. By default, this value is set to “500”. The higher the value, the sharper the shadow will be. However, keep in mind that increasing the Shadow Map size will also slow down the rendering and preview time.

Hi Ray,

ProAnimator 5 has new Object and Camera animations, but none that has an exploding effect at the moment. We do have Object Animations where there are cascade effects applied. The cascade effect tiles the objects out one by one, so you build effects that are similar to explosions.

To create an exploding effect with ProAnimator version 4, you can try breaking up your shape/logo in Illustrator. This way, when you import the logo into ProAnimator, you can have many pieces to use for the animation. Then, when you use the cascade effect with random ordering, with random pieces flying out, it will simulate the explosion effect.

At the moment, our 3D Objects do not support the two points of view needed for stereo. It’s one of the items we are looking into for future versions of our plug-ins however.
