My solution is to never use the “copy media” option when saving VEG files. Besides, I don’t like my AVI’s broken up into AVI and W64.

Oh, you meant the BEGINNING (thank’s Gary). You could always render the piece you want looped out separately in Vegas.

In the menu properties, you set the “length” of time the menu is to play. It will then loop at that point if you have set the menu up to loop. I believe it’s in the same place in both DVDA2 and DVDA3 (I’d have to open both to verify except DVDA3 had better separated categories) – just in the menu properties.

Vegas creates standard WAV files. I don’t know why the other machines wouldn’t be able to read them. There has to be something to this picture we’re missing.

If you print to tape, you’ll drop to DV. My suggestion would be to buy an (external) hard drive, copy these files over to that new hard drive, and then use that hard drive when you’re ready to begin editing.

Vegas does not use the Directshow subsystem for codec management because of reliability issues with Directshow. Fully implemented codecs for Windows work with Vegas.

No. It will only print to one one firewire connection.

DVDA doesn’t always see all burners. What if you PREPARE with DVDA and then BURN with some other program like Nero or Record Now?

WMP10 should not be a factor. However, I’m a little confused by your post:

You can’t import from CD (as you and Gary said, using the import CD option)

But you also can’t create WAV files? Or they’re created but can’t be read? Or they’re created but can’t be read on other machines but can be read on this one? I’ve not had any issues with WAV files & Vegas.

HAVE to be??? No. But it’s far easier than trying to copy/paste between projects – especially with different track layouts and if you’ve used any track level effects.

That’s also one of the advantages of nested projects – you don’t have to render first.
