Exactly. I’ve noticed FCPX is pretty unforgiving, hence the questions for such a simple task. Thanks for the response. Will be deleting prores files with confidence now.

I anticipated this. It’s pretty cut and dry stuff but 52 minutes is a long time and they have about 9 shooting days (probably less than 8 hours each). Lots of red flags just with story.

Yeah I noticed that. But I have all my markers in all in my sequence… Like Makers I put in sequence1, 2, and 3. When I open sequence 1, they are all in there when it should just be showing sequence 1 markers within sequence 1

Yeah. Ok. I don’t think there’s anyway around it.
Log and transfer on Maverick is a nightmare. Clips get transcoded, but only portion (without showing there’s an error)… crashes. Yeah It’s not supported and never will, I know thatl. That’s why I’m making the transfer to FCP X and getting all this footage to 422. I’ve only got an assembly cut down, and we might shoot more of the documentary.

I think there’s no way around other than the log and transfer route, constantly checking, and restarting FCP after it crashes. Oh well. Better now than never.

There’s an app called retooled.net but it doesn’t work for Maverick. Basically it can relink using the file’s duration, which is really all I got since it’s 5d footage (time code different from the source), and file names (log and transfer).

I thought about going the resolve route. I’ll give it a shot late tonight or tomorrow.
I mean this is caused by a slew of problems from the FCP 7 process and the outdated canon plugin (some clips not fully transcoded, would crash)… Also renaming the files via the log and transfer process.
