Hey guys. I posted earlier in regard to 7toX. I imported my documentary (unlinking audio and videos files in the time first). Looks like things went pretty well. The only problem has been markers now. Looks like every marker I made within each individual sequence can be seen within every sequence (or compound clip) I open up. It’s as if FCPX thinks all the sequences/compound clips need the same markers.

I emailed assisted editing (the creator of 7toX). Hopefully we can resolve this. I would the to reimport the xml as I’ve been transcoding proxy’s for FCPX for the past day or so.

Oh yeah. This is 5d footage. Imported as prores422 (I online it in FCP 7, it was original proxy). Brought in the project as prores422 files. Also I used plural eyes to sync the footage too. Hope that helps.

The markers are added to the sequence’s time line. Not to the clip.

7toX uses to do markers to mark anything that might not have translated perfectly (such as filters that don’t work, or motion characteristics that don’t translate from 7 over to X).

If you open the timeline index, you can see them all by clicking on the marker near the bottom.

Yeah I noticed that. But I have all my markers in all in my sequence… Like Makers I put in sequence1, 2, and 3. When I open sequence 1, they are all in there when it should just be showing sequence 1 markers within sequence 1

    Hmm.

I’d definitely work with the 7toX peeps and see what they say.
