Thanks so much for getting back.

Turns out the card was incompatible with the box. Grrrr on the sales guy and Grrr on me for not doing my home work before walking into the store.

found a Radeon that lit up immediately.

I have both and readily admit an Avid preference.

That said, there are tons of very cool sides to FCP, not the least of which is an easier learning curve.

But pound for pound, Avid is a much more elegant editorial instrument. I just edited features on both this year. In truth, the FCP edit would have been better had I cut it on Avid.

Looks like you’re doing a scrub with the caps lock on.

Try taking that off and scrubbing with the jkl keys.
