Hi, im having a little problem. It doesn’t occurr in Premiere.

I have a Core i7, 2.80 ghz 4 de ram (3gb because running in win xp), mother Asus P7P55D. External audio Tascam

    US-122l.

Timeline Scrubbing: I can’t have a smooth scrubbing in my timeline. Here’s an example taken in my machine

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H8HzRmhmYMg

The question is: Where i work, they have almost the same machine with less ram! But scrubbing works as it has to

    work: FINE.
“Play buffer samples” in “Audio” setting is the same in both machines 12288

Anyone can bring me a hand ?

Looks like you’re doing a scrub with the caps lock on.

Try taking that off and scrubbing with the jkl keys.

yes i have caps lock on. But, where i work, the scrub is smooth! not like in the video, with “caps” On !!!
And both machines are almost the same! That’s the problem 🙁

It matters less how fast the computer is than how fast the storage is. For quick scrubbing response, you need your media to be on a drive array that has very fast seek time, access time, and bandwidth. This may be the determining factor.
