You’re saying that 6.5 will handle current QT.mov files? I’m not very literate with this stuff, I don’t really edit. I could try to find an upgrade to 6.5 I suppose…

Most people use Lectro’s 100mw TX but you can get a 250mw TX from Lectro. It eats batteries faster but has a very long range. I’d go in the helmut.

something smells here with the police saying there’s nothing to be done.
Then why, every time I shoot for Discovery, Travel, HGTV, History, etc. do we have to get signed releases? And if the subject is a minor we also have to get parental release as well.
This perv is using these people’s image without their permission. He’s doing it on school property which is also going to be a no no.

Gelling tubes is a big maybe…

    how many are there?
    how high is the ceiling?
are there different types mixed together?

Can you do a scout to check this out? If you can ascertain the type of tubes and if it’s not too difficult and if you can afford it then gell the tubes. If you can’t then you can’t. It ain’t brain surgery, nobody will die of there’s a bit of green in the shadows.

One other idea…if the flo’s are particularly offensive, consider turning them off! This will depend on the width of the room. It may very well get too dark on the other side but it’s worth considering.

One more…plan your time of day to avoid direct sunlight coming in through the windows.

    Enjoy

Would there be any reason for Nick to think you were stealing ‘their’ idea? The networks can be pretty aggressive about protecting ‘their’ properties or anything that resembles it. Especially from somebody ‘inside’.

I have a producer friend in a small one-company town. This Fortune 500 company dominates this town. They were using one company for all their videos. My friend offers a significantly better product without a jump in price. It took him over 2 years to get one project from this company. He blew them away with the quality/cost. Took another 9 months to get the second project. Entrenchment, inertia, loyalty all play a big part in corporate video production.
    Good luck.

Frank is discounting the use of warmcards and makes some very good points. But I find that Sony cameras tend to run cold so I use a low grade warm card from Roger Macie to offset that. In addition to that I then use color to create contrast, etc. as Frank describes. So you might say I go both ways.

Does your camera have skin tone detail control? My Pany DVX100A has it, I’m not familiar with the PD150. You might want to upgrade to the DVX if you don’t have it. This feature adjusts the detail enhancement in the skin tones only. You dial it down and soften the features. You can probably do something similar in post.
