Very few people have posted about getting Premiere Pro to work on XP x64. Mostly people post about problems trying to use XP x64. Prevailing wisdom suggests you simply shouldn’t use XP x64, there is good reason why it is not supported.

I would strongly recommend that you do your color correction after you perform the multi-cam process.

Alternatively you can color correct the clip and then export it to a new clip then use the exported clip in your edit.

Unfortunately not. The project file format has changed drastically between CS3 and CS4. An Adobe engineer could probably manually change a CS4 project to a CS3 project, but for us end users there is no hope.

One workaround would be to export an EDL from CS4 which you will be able to use in CS3.

Sorry I should have been more clear: How many “frames” are there in your handles?

I suspect your handles do not have enough frames and that is why you’re seeing unexpected frames.

Please note that .MOV and .AVI files are essentially wrapper formats, they both use codecs to encode the video and audio they contain.

If you use the same codec and the same settings in either format then they will be basically the same size.

Comparing an AVI using a lightly compressed codec to an MOV using a highly compressed codec is not comparing apples with apples (groan).

Once you save a project in CS4 you cannot go back to CS3.

Hopefully one of your auto-saved files will still be in the CS3 format. Try each of those.

I’m surprised the CS4 Trial even loaded an HDV project. The trial version does not support MPEG of any sort.
