Ok, I figured it out. When a slider is on a solid it only has zeros after the decimal. If it’s on a text layer it has all the numbers after the decimal.

No, it is only showing zeros after the decimal. Sorry, I should have clarified that.

hmm… yeah, that’s what I thought the expression was as well. When I apply the expression, I only get zeros after the decimal. Maybe I’m just doing something wrong.

How would I get it to show any numbers besides zeros after the decimal? For example: 1.86-9.63 instead of 1.00-9.00

I have nearly the same specs:
Processor: 2 x 2.93 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon
Memory: 64 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 ECC
Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024 MB / NVIDIA Quadro 4000 2048 MB
Operating System: OSX 10.8.2
Software: Adobe CS6 Version 11.0.0.378

Are you saying that you needed to completely reinstall the OS? Please explain in more detail, or if anyones else has any input toward this matter, please reply. Is there anyone that would say this is a bad idea for any reason?

Thanks, you have been extremely helpful. This is sort of an open ended statement, but since you mentioned applications, I thought I would mention that I primarily use Premiere, After Effects and Davinci on my system.

It’s just that my mac pro came with a 5870, so I wanted to be able to utilize it with my quadro 4000. Someone recommended this cable:

I’m more of a creative designer, so I don’t know much about the hardware except that I don’t want to get rid of a perfectly good card that I already have. Is this cable all that I would need?

Thanks so much! I don’t know why that information was so hard to find! I’ll grab one of these splitter cables then. Is there anything else I should know about hooking up this card and splitter before I go ripping into my machine?
