Yeah, this seems to be a new “feature”. Was trying to keyframe an audio clip last night but the keyframe button was grayed out. I accidentally stumbled upon that dropdown that lets you change the setting. But then my keyframe extended to infinity past the clip and no way to trim it back. Luckily it doesn’t cause the entire sequence to extend the length of the keyframe line.
Was this feature totally necessary!!

Did you try opening AME and clicking on help>update to see if it will automatically download an update? Since 2017 is an upgrade rather than an update, it might just go to the last update, which is what you need.
Also, there’s an Adobe approved site called prodesigntools.com which still has cc2014 and cc2015 software installers and updates. I know you can find the update there. Again, as I’ve said many times, it’s an Adobe approved site, not a pirate site. In fact the links to the software take you to the adobe.com links.

Yeah, there are guys here with work stations that don’t get smooth 4K playback. It’s why I gave up trying to get a pro workstation. Even way outside my budget doesn’t handle 4K, I’d have to go way way waaaaaay outside my budget, and I only do this for fun so it’s not worth it for me.
The fact that the proxies play so smoothly you should count as a blessing. Like I said, I made SQ 720p proxies, it played beautifully, but I could see blocking on the dark area. But I did my color grading on the proxy and when I switched to the original file, it was smooth. I suppose you could do color correcting and grading on the original, then switch to the proxy when playing back and adding effects.

And, once again I’m an idiot. I “hid” it. D’oh! Why I only hid that sequence, I couldn’t tell ya.

OK, my final solution was to remove both Auditions and Premiere Pro, then re-install first Audition CC2017, then Premiere Pro CC2017. Now I can “edit in audition” again.
Now, another question. How do I access “Assign Mix Type”? It’s always, uh, grayed out!!!

I re-installed cc 2015 and sure enough, Edit in Audition is no longer grayed out. However, it opens cc 2015, not cc 2017, even though the registry is set for Audition10. Why did I wake up at 3:30 this morning!!!

Well, I tried the other trick of assigning Audition 10 as the default program for .sesx files. No good. Then I uninstalled Premiere Pro and re-installed. Still nothing. How can it be that the only way I can get it to work is to have Audition 8 installed on my PC? Friggin’ Adobe….

And, of course, after finally uninstalling Audition 2015, Premiere Pro now has Edit in Audition grayed out, even though it was opening the latest Audition with no problem before I uninstalled. Editing the registry as you suggested does nothing.

I have the panels going from top to bottom of my screen on my second monitor so I can only resize them smaller. Never had a problem before but, as I said, today the scrollbars are appearing, even in my program monitor.
