I tried it with and without the essential graphics window opened, and I was able to get that red highlight and change the text either way.

Just to be clear, you clicked on the text and a cursor didn’t appear? Well, if you said you got it to work on another PC then obviously you know the technique. I’ve read enough posts to know that Adobe software will display odd “buggy” behavior on only 1 or 2 computers and no one else knows what you’re talking about because they’re not experiencing it.
On a side note, this new title feature is more cumbersome to use than editing 4K on my PC. Totally useless to me unless I nail the position the first time. And the templates? Forget it, they take forever to load after I place them on the timeline, and I’ve yet to find one that uses a font I already have on my machine, and I got a LOT of fonts.

To be clearer, it’s “Replace with clip>from bin”.

Yeah, select your improved clip in the bin, then right click the timeline on the clip you want to replace and choose Replace>From Bin.

Yeah, you can. The problem is that, unlike in photoshop, the cursor icon doesn’t change to indicate you can select a word or just place it between words and start typing. The cursor icon stays the same. Try it.

1. I always copy LUTS>Creative and LUTS>Technical from Premiere Pro and paste them into AME’s LUTS folder. No problems
2. Uncheck import files natively. You said you had it checked. That will cause AME to export the files without most of the tweaks, effects and grading/correcting you did. -
EDIT: Wow, all that typing for nothing. You’re referring to the keyframe in the first frame of the timeline. I thought you meant the bezier points you create when drawing a mask. Sorry.

Your problem is cc 2017. I was rolling along, just fine, doing my green screen vids and masking out unwanted portions of my shots when, suddenly, I too could not access the bezier points. Then the ones on the left would only bring up the hand tool, which meant I couldn’t reposition those beziers, only move the entire mask. THEN, I couldn’t even draw a mask. Nothing would happen, no blue lines, nothing. I had to go back to cc 2015.4. Interestingly, even with that version, I still get the hand tool on one bezier point on the left.
No one ever responded to this problem when I posted so you may be out of luck. My only suggestion, based on my experience, is that something happened with your video card drivers, since no matter what version I reverted back to, there’s always some kind of problem with masks and bezier points. My problem started about 2 weeks after I upgraded my monitor from a 720p to 1080p. Adobe’s forum was no help either.

Just out of curiosity, did you double post twice? If you didn’t, that could be a clue to your problem. We all know how computers can be, hence my catchphrase, “Computers….Grrrrrrr…..”
Have you tried putting a file on a USB and loading it on another computer and uploading? That will help narrow down the cause. If it uploads no problem then you know it’s not the video, it’s your computer. I’ve had 720p youtube videos stall and buffer when I had a 300 mbps connection. Turned out my modem settings were off. Now I get smooth 4K playback at 50 mbps on youtube. Also, have you tried going to speedtest.net and checking your upload speed?
