btw I’m not done tweaking even those keyed elements. Right now that one clip looks even better than the still I posted. I’ll link to the finished product when I’m done. I’m telling you right now it’s not going to be up to you guys’ standards, but I’d actually like your opinions on the first video I’ll ever do on my new workstation, keeping in mind my lower expectations.

You guys have obviously never checked out my previous work. Yes, I know my keys are not Spielberg worthy. Up until now I’ve had to do my videos on my i5 12gig intel 3d graphics card PC. It took forever just to open Primatte, let alone tweak it. Plus those are youtube clips, 720p if I’m lucky. And, bottom line, my videos were meant to be kind of cheesy. I’m hoping to up my game now that I have a decent workstation. But nothing will help with those 720p youtube samples.

Hey guys. Yeah I reset to color space and then set that up to my preferred layout and, for now, I have the bottom of my thumbnails back. Thanks for confirming I did the right thing, Dave.
As for the keys, those are free green screen clips I incorporate into my videos. They really are that green and, yes, they key out nicely. What you’re seeing, Vince, is a color grade I added to them to match the background I’m putting them into. They aren’t really coming out that greenish. See the screen capture. I’m working on a spoof of Haunted Collector.

Not sure if this helps but I have in the past copied the “Motion” settings from one sequence and pasted them into another sequence. Have you tried that? I know they are like separate from everything else in the effects panel when it comes to copy/paste.

Hey Jeff. I finally took your advice and got a Dell 8920, etc. No need to go into details. I don’t even want you to bother with any advice. Just your approval or disapproval will do.
I’ve got 3 HDD’s. The one that came with the PC and two more that I added. Just regular HDD’s, not SSD. I have all my adobe programs and other stuff (browser, email, etc) on the main HDD where the OS is. I’m putting Project files and raw media from my camera on the 2nd HDD, and I’m encoding to the 3rd HDD. Does that sound like a good setup, or should I, for example, put raw media and encoded media on the same HDD?

As of 4:09 pm on July 7th 2017 everything is running as it should be. Barring any sudden changes in the situation, I think I’m FINALLY set up. Now, wonder whuts on duh tv…

I’m starting to feel like I’m doing plumbing work for the 3 Stooges. Got the box to see the 3rd HDD. The latest kick in the nuts? Premiere Pro says CUDA is not available on this PC so it defaulting to software, while AME has no problem seeing CUDA.

I brought back the 1050, got the 1050ti. Uninstalled the 1050 driver, but after I installed the card, it showed the driver for the 1050ti already installed. Do these things self install their drivers now?!?
Anyway, I’d love to say that all is well but now my friggin’ 2nd HDD has disappeared, not even in disk management as a “foreign” entity. And all my video files are on it so I can’t test PPro and AME until I get it seen again. I’m in no mood to shoot new video right now.
That’s the latest. Oh, yeah, almost forgot….grrrrrrrrrrrr………
