Hey Scott,

When I check my Media browser and select ‘Sound Effects’, the music shows up in a folder named ‘Jingles’ in the drop-down menu above the list view (under iLife Sound Effects). I also see another folder named ‘Theme Music’ which has a few tunes I’d not heard before. 10.3.4 here.

I will be watching later today, when I’ve got this project buttoned up and sent to the client. Again, I’m sure he’s got a compelling message worthy of discussion. My knee-jerk reaction to the title has left my jaw bruised, but my opinion unchanged. I was not directing my irritation at you, Bill… just venting until I can watch the whole thing. Won’t happen again, I can assure you.

Step 1: Delete your current Multicam clips
Step 2: Select all the source clips for camA in the browser. Open the ‘Info’ tab in the inspector and change the metadata view to either General or Extended. Fill in the ‘Camera Angle’ field (camA). Next, select all of your camB clips in the browser, and set the Camera Angle field to camB. If you have sync audio (from another stand-alone audio recorder), do the same for those clips.
Step 3: Create new Multicam clips. Presto!

Setting the angles beforehand lets FCPX know that all of those related clips belong on the same ‘track’.

After reading your previous thread, I’ve made this request as well.

FWIW, if you really -need- to have a linear fade, you can blade the clip and apply an Audio-Only transition which provides the options.

Sadly, neither of those are options – right click only shows ‘Set default’, and I couldn’t find it in any of the Transitions folders hiding in the system (not even the app packages.) How do you retime (speed ramp) a transition?

There’s an Ease on/off toggle for the audio. Sure would be nice if that was an option for video.
