Haven’t tried the free one, so I guess we’ll find out! ;^)
I’m exporting some client footage cut to the same duration, and exporting PRHQ overnight just to see what I get.

That is strange, as you said, 39GB is definitely too small for that combination. Do you have Invisor or some other tool to analyze your output file?

Gotcha. Just to verify, the Settings panel would have ‘Video and Audio’ selected as the Format, then PRHQ, and check chapter markers. Nothing unusual on the Roles tab, I assume…

Can you walk through the steps you’re taking to export your timeline?
When exporting a timeline as a ProRes HQ master from within FC, the output file will be ProRes HQ. No settings change necessary.

That would definitely do the trick. Zero timelines, just modified master clips to spit out.

CommandPost is something you could use to achieve the objective, but instead of having a sequence/comp for every clip, you’d have one (or however many) timelines, fix the clips, and then batch export the timeline clips:

“Behind the times” was an unnecessary dig. Premiere doesn’t do this either. Any reason you’re not just doing the comps in AE?

You can only use the 2013 iMac as a monitor if the machine connecting to it is running High Sierra or earlier, so would need to be a 5yo OS, which won’t run on anything newer than 2017.
Updating libraries usually goes without a hitch, but make a backup copy first, so you can revert if necessary (probably won’t be necessary).

I’ve seen similar cropping when applying certain effects in specific ways.
It may be helpful to post a couple more screenshots – first, select the title in the timeline, then grab the inspector’s Video pane. Second, select the project itself in the browser list and grab the inspector’s Info pane.

At the Project Manager stage, you should hit that OK button to package the project.
Then you open the resulting project file to export the XML.
