  • Interesting how “Fodeo” handles music. This is from their FAQ section:

“Can I add music to my project?

Of course! We can add any song you like as long as you own the music. You can either bring it into the store or we can purchase it for you online. If you don

I thought that as long as I was on public property I could shoot whatever my camera can see. I finally got a call back from my local mall and they said I could shoot video of decorations, but I would have to come early and I would not be able to video any people. I took a different route with my project. Thanks for the suggestion of shooting legs and feet and headless bodies. Had not thought of that idea. Maybe I’ll use that next time.

Hey thanks for the instruction. I did figure out the first part while playing around with the light rays. I really need to set aside more time to play around with Vegas, there is sooooo much I don’t know, yet. Thanks for the reply!

Peter, it worked! I did 4 different 10 second versions and dissolved them into each other with a 5 second dissolve. I copied and pasted the set of 4 until I had about 5 minutes of falling snow. It turned out pretty good. Thanks for the suggestion!

I really like that effect. When you figure out how you did it, please post. At least explain how you did the first part. Also, does anyone know of a good tutorial on generating text effects using just Vegas 5. I know there are other software programs out there for better text, but right now I can’t afford to buy. But, I know I need to improve my skills when working with titles.

I too, wish that we had some sort of licensing, like Australia. How exactly does the license work in Australia? I would be happy to pay an annual license fee to allow me to legally produce what my customer wants. How can we get this done?

I always set mine up just like the wedding invitation or program. Whichever name they have first is how it is on the video and the case.

Here’s something I’ve never understood. I can walk into my living room and pick out a CD that I own and use it to play with pictures of my kids on a family video and there is no problem. Why is it that someone can’t bring to me their pictures and their CD and pay me to do the edit work. If they had the talent, equipment, etc, they could do it themselves with no problem. All I am doing is the “labor” that they cannot do because of lack of talent, equip, etc. Is this a “grey” area? Probably not.

  • I have 3 i-river model 890s that I use. I use them on the groom and the minister. I also use the third one sometimes on the podium where speakers do their readings. These are small lightwight units that record very well. No problems in post, just line everything up and go, no drift. I highly recommend them.

No musical skills at all. The only instrument I can play is the soundboard at our church. 🙂 So Sonicfire Pro is good?
