John And Jane or Jane and John?
Posted by Pat Kingery on November 29, 2005 at 5:06 pmHow do you guys label your dvds? On the one hand you say Mr and Mrs and on the other “ladies first”.

November 29, 2005 at 5:24 pmFor me, I always print:
=========================
The Wedding ofJane Smith
&
James Jones
=========================I like this because it should be suitable both for couples who will be taking each other’s names and for those who aren’t changing their names.

November 29, 2005 at 5:49 pmWhichever side paid, their name goes first. I also think it’s more fitting generally to have the bride’s name first.

November 29, 2005 at 11:21 pmI always set mine up just like the wedding invitation or program. Whichever name they have first is how it is on the video and the case.

December 1, 2005 at 3:34 amI’ve always used “Jane & John Smith”. Of course, there was one bride who didn’t take the groom’s last name. That one we had to change to “Jane Jones & John Smith”.

December 1, 2005 at 3:23 pmI do like Doug, follow the invite. But I use first names only. Firstly beacuse the less text the less chance of a mistake, secondly because if I do show the dvd as a demo privacy is maintained.
