Hi Phil, Thank you for your response, yes I did look in Drive C program files and the Sony folder. The title was there but on opening the folder the program wasn’t. I am totally mystified never having experienced this before.Christmas now being over I can get back to this and will come back ant tell you all what Idid to cure the problem. Thank you everyone for your thoughts.

Regarding my log on as myself and not administrator goes, yes indeed you are correct. I am very new to both Windows 7 AND Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum II so am struggling somewhat. However, with the unselfish help from people like yourself I will get there. The truth is I couldn’t work out how to log on as administrator as I thought that may be a requirement. Right now I am tied up with Christmas family matters so I will probably get back to it in a day or two. I am NOT a professional videographer although I did much professional still photography mostly in the graphic arts and printing field before retiring in 2001. I will let you know how I progress with this baffling problem. Oh yes another thought, it happened immediately following an update from Sony Vegas.
