yeah, I think you’re referring to the 1GB compatibility tihng – discs needing min of 1GB data…. if you create VideoTS and AudioTS folders from encore, ad then burn a disc with an app such as Nero in its DVD-video mode, it will burn it with 1GB minimum.

To be fair, I am under the imrpession Encore does this itself anyway, by writing a very long lead out if you don’t have much data to burn.

Otherwise it might be worth trying to demux your program streams to elements before taking them to Encore – I’ve also read from another authoring app that feeding in non-elementary streams may cause issues….

    Hey,

I can tell you that the DLT4000 works absolutely flawlessly in my system, in Encore 1.5 and 1.5.1.

Perhaps go to the Quantum site and make sure you ahve the altest firmware for your drive – you’ll have to dig around as obviously it’s not manufactured anymore. If your drive is not badged as Quantum, then as far as I understand, it actually pretty much is just a quantum drive with a different badge.

I have read that making sure the drive firmware is up-to-date can solve this kind of issue.

  • Hi – just had a further thought….

These new drivers, in conjunction with the new production bundle, will they give proper outputs from within Encore?

In the older version of the Adobe software and your previous drivers, even though your website says Encore was supported, I could never make it work, in any of the ways that works for other apps.

I ask because Matrox have stated they are dropping support for Encore 2 with their RTX.100 cards (yes I’m a freak with both a matrox and decklink card running in the same machine). With further investigation of the new Adobe stuff, I can see why Matrox have pulled that support – as encore now shares the same video rendering type of tech as AFX and PPro – it would just struggle to do anythig in realtime.

However, with Encore sharing the above mentioned video tech, it would make sense that the Decklink cards can pick this ‘responsibility’ ….

    Whaddya say, eh guys?!?!?!

    Thanks

January 21, 2006 at 6:26 pm in reply to: Pro1.5’s mediancoder exports QT to wrong drive!

I’ve always had a phenomenon with QT exports from Permiere Pro 1-1.5 compared to Premiere 6.5 and below.

For me, the files never seem to follow the data rates I give them, no matter how I create the files, so when I try to craete streaming QTs for example, they come out at stupid sizes like 80MB as opposed to any other web format I can make of an identical clip.
