  • I feel like this error would only happen if you tried running setup from within the winzip utility. Try unzipping it a directory, give a shout back if this works.

as the others pointed out… you can use any emitter as the particle. They could be shaped like stars if you wanted 😉

i suggest you look into google video or youtube to fit your needs. They have simple interfaces for uploading your own videos, additionally, they will provide the link to that video so that you can paste on forums and such.

as john mentioned, if your talking about web site creation the path is much different.

no, flv is the file format for a flash video. There are no timeline controls at the bottom of a flv file. You can play any flv using the standard video object that comes with flash. However, you can also play it using the timeline controls which is what you are referring to. Check the tutorial links I sent and you’ll get a better idea.

Navigation is different with video files though. You can only navigate to keyframes. However, you can place keyframes as needed.

The On2 codec has true alpha capability which means that you could have a movie with transparency. There are many ways to encode with On2. Adobe has an encoder which ties into most compositing apps. Second, if you own Flash 8 there is an encoder that comes along with the ide.

you could do this using your composite tool or

you would have to create an emitter whos sole purpose is to block the person. This emitter would most likely be the same color as the background.

With PI3, your still going to have trouble with that effect. However, check out Vue6 which is coming out later this year..

    sure:

    export as a png sequence
    composite with fav composite app
export as On2 with alpha encoded
    load in flv

ok I think it looked nice but the effect could be better. You copy the compositions and mask the characters to grab an alpha channel. Once you have the alpha channel, you could follow elvis deanes effect of turning the characters into particles without any fade. Anyway, nice job and keep workin on it.
